Trained by Regan Todd, Bad Habits will appear in the 2^nd of the day after accounting for a learners field last week.  Dam Real Wings was a race winner and has gone on to produce the 7-time winners in Ardens Reality (Somebeachsomewhere) and Arden Velocity (Bettors Delight) The wider family is notable for performers like Ideal Scott (American Ideal) a Gr1 winner on Australian soil.

Bad Habits in action last week

John Spartan (Love You – All Settle Down) This Gavin Smith trained trotter should be one to watch given his breeding. Appearing for the first time out on track, John Spartan is out of the 4-time winner in All Settled Down (Sundon) that fact making him a 1/2 brother to the impressive Enhance Your Calm (Majestic Son) who has pressed on to win over $300’000 through a combination of winning efforts across both Australasia and North America.

The best winning effort from Enhance Your Calm on New Zealand could well have been his victory in the Northern trotting Derby when winning over Resonate and Gil Favor.

John Spartan is closely related to the hugely talented Enhance Your Calm.

Ballyspellane (Sweet Lou – Monet Grace) Trained by Colin and Julie DeFilippi, Ballyspellane loks a work in progress and will head to a workout late in the card at Rangiora. Dam Monet Grace won a solitary race but the wider breed has managed some impressive results historically.

Grandam Rosemary Grace is the mother to no less than 8 winners while the wider family includes the 8-time winner Pacing Grace (In The Pocket), mother to All U Need Is Faith and Pacing Major, and the 9-time winner in Jessies Cullen (Christian Cullen)
