Brad and Mel Mowbray have been on the road a bit lately and the travelling has produced some good results for the Leeston harness racing couple.

Tomorrow they have four runners at Young Quinn Raceway at the Wyndham meeting.

Two year old filly Impressive Shard (Captain Crunch) races older company in Race One. She qualified at Ashburton last week when running a close third. She’s out of Christian Cullen mare Pemberton Shard which Mowbray trained to win eleven races. She draws the outside of the front line over 1609 metres.

Last start winner Oakley Shard (Sweet Lou) is highest assessed of the runners in Race Five and she also draws the outside of the front row. Since winning at the Kurow meeting she’s been given a quiet trial at Ashburton.

Okiwi Bay (Art Major) stormed home late at Winton last week. She’s in the form of her life but draws the inside on the second row in Race Six.

Aged gelding Fourth Amendment (American Ideal) was good in winning his last start but faces tougher opposition tomorrow in Race Eight. He’s drawn five.
