Gore harness racing trainer Tony Stratford heads to Oamaru today with two runners before fronting up at Wyndham on Sunday with a larger team.
Gati (Bettorās Delight) begins the day for Stratford in Race Three at Oamaru. She showed good gate speed to lead and finished third on her home track in September. Sheās had a small break and gets a nice draw to work with.
Last start winner Enya Franco (Art Major) lines up in Race Five, drawing barrier five.
Stratford has labelled Gati as the stableās best bet at Oamaru.
He has a larger team in for the Wyndham meeting at the Young Quinn Raceway on Sunday, leading off with Asta (Bettorās Delight) in Race Three. He just battled at his last start but gets a nice draw to use.
Stratford has two starters in Race Four ā Dreamalittledream (A Rocknroll Dance) and No Perfect Princess (Vincent).
Dreamalittledream was just beaten by Flying Bird at her last starts and this looks like a winnable race for her.
No Perfect Princess draws the inside of the second row and follows out Fabricate which has good gate speed. She had no luck at her last start.
Van Liberty (Sportswriter) last raced at the Tuapeka meeting which was his first start since August. He gets a favourable draw at three in Race Five.
Waikaka Magic (Raging Bull) was good at his last start finishing second behind the smart Bettor Fortune. He has the gate speed to use in Race Seven.
The talented Muchacho (Always B Miki) was massive at his last start but faces a field of mid-grade pacers, most of whom have more wins on the board.
Tony tips Waikaka Magic as the stableās best bet for Sunday.
