HARRINGTON, DE – Long time Delaware driving champ Eddie Davis, now 79, won the 1st race on the Harrington Raceway harness racing program Tuesday (Apr. 24) with wife Kathy Davis’ Missstarofnova (Nova Artist) paying $27.80 to win.
Davis, a winner of 8,635 races lifetime, only drives on a limited basis currently and notched the win with a mare trained by his son Martin.
The homebred is a daughter of stallion Nova Artist and out of the dam Seamstresforthepan, both of whom the Davis family raced.
Missstarofnova left the gate from post 7 and eventually settled in 3rdĀ before angling wide in the stretch and getting the lead in the shadow of the wire in a tight photo over Spoiled Rotn Girl. It was her second career win.
