Hightstown, NJ — Bythemissal (Downbytheseaside) was the only horse in the Top 10 to compete last week, winning the Monument Circle at Harrah’s Hoosier Park, and gained one spot in the Week 23 Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll released Tuesday. The 3-year-old male harness racing pacer moved from No. 8 to No. 7, swapping places with Sylvia Hanover.
Bulldog Hanover remained No. 1 for the 18th consecutive week and was followed by Bella Bellini, Test Of Faith, Jiggy Jog S, and Joviality S.
The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll does not determine Horse of the Year. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.
