With her victory Friday (May 12) at Yonkers Raceway in the $36,000 Fillies & Mares Open-Handicap Pace, Drama Act (Well Said) is now just $57,000 away from becoming harness racing’s next millionaires.

Starting from post three in the 8th race feature, driver George Brennan wasting no time sending the race favorite Drama Act right to the lead off the starting gate. Pure Silky (Jim Marohn, Jr.) used the rail to insure a two-hole trip.
Drama Act cut the mile to the quarter in :27.3 and then the half mile in :57 with everyone content racing single file. Then in the backstretch, Lucky Artist A (Braxten Boyd) slipped out of third place to come first-over, but could not even get close to Drama Act as she led past the three-quarters in 1:25.1.
By the top of the stretch, Drama Act and Brennan held a two-length lead on the field and then in the stretch held off Pure Silky to win by a neck in 1:53. Morning Has Broken (Jason Bartlett) was third.

DRAMA ACT REPLAY
It was the sixth win of the season for Drama Act. The six-year-old mare is trained by Ron Burke for owner-breeder The OK Corral and she returned $3.70 to win.
