Disturbed Hanover (Big Jim) braved a first over harness racing journey and upset the Open Handicap Pacing Mares at Bally’s Dover on Wednesday night.
Majorca N and 3/5 betting favorite Elektra A left quickest off the gate approaching the quarter pole.
Majorca N seized control of the lead and Electra A surrendered to the pocket passing the opening quarter in 26.1.
Majorca N raced comfortably on the lead and reached the half in 55.1, a moderate 29 flat quarter.
Incaseyoudidntknow moved to the outside and was able to grab a 2nd over trip when Disturbed Hanover rushed 1st over up the back stretch. Melody Hanover followed third over on the rim.
Majorca N braced for the strong challenge from Disturbed Hanover as the pair squared off at the three quarters in 1:22.4, a 27.3 quarter. Elektra A protected pocket position.
30-1 longshot, Disturbed Hanover, was able to wear down both Majorca N and Elektra A in deep stretch and won by a neck in 1:51.1, a lifetime mark. She paid $63.80 for the win.
DISTURBED HANOVER REPLAY
Disturbed Hanover is owned by the Whiz Kids Stable LLC of Dover, Delaware. W. Bart Dalious trained and his son Barton Dalious drove. Elektra A finished 2nd and Majorca N was 3rd.
Tim Tetrick won four races on the night. Tetrick won eight races on Tuesday night.
Thursday’s 10th race features the $110,000 DSBF Final for 3 Year Old Colt and Gelding Pacers. The 12th race boasts the best pacers on the grounds in the Blue Hen Handicap Pace.
Thursday will be the final live harness race night before the traditional Christmas Holiday break..
Live Harness racing from Bally’s Dover will be dark from December 20-29 and return on Monday December 30th. Post Time is 4:30 p.m.
