Five Buckeye Stallion Series divisions of 2-year-old filly harness racing trotters hit the track Tuesday (July 20) at Eldorado Scioto Downs. Each division went for $17,500 and was won by the race favorite. Alana Hill (Brett Miller) won the fastest division in 1:58.

Alana Hill left from post five and went straight to the front, where she stayed for the entire mile. Setting fractions of :29.2, :59.2 and 1:28.4, the daughter of What The Hill came home in :29.1 to win by two and a half lengths. Aunt Rita (Chris Page) was second and Eyes A Ten (Anthony MacDonald) finished third.
ALANA HILL REPLAY
Bred by Cornerstone Stock Farm, Alana Hill is out of the Swan For All mare Andi’s Alana. Trained by Virgil Morgan, Jr. for GC Gold Racing LLC, Walnut View Farm and John Schlabach, Alana Hill went off as the race favorite at 1-2 and paid $3.00 to win.
We Go We Go won the first division in 1:59.1 for driver Chris Lems and trainer Lonnie Graber. The Long Tom Filly out of the Jailhouse Jesse mare Come On We Go is owned by Big Dream Stable and Dannie Hostetler. Going off at 6-5, We Go We Go paid $4.40 to win. Miss Cowboy Star (by Long Tom) was second and Madame Madelyn (What The Hill) was third.
WE GO WE GO REPLAY
Sweet On Pete (Anthony MacDonald for Jason McGinnis) took the second division in 1:59.2 by a neck. The R filly out of the Angus Hall mare Oh Sweet Baby is owned by Thestable Sweet On Pete and Hutchison Harness LLC. Sweet On Pete also went off as her race favorite at 4-5 and paid $3.80 to win. Jamaica Jann (Long Tom) finished second while Sisteralice (Coraggioso) was third.

Toes In The Water (Ryan Stahl) won the fourth division in 1:59.2 and was the only filly who came from off the pace, as she sat fourth for the first half of the mile. Owned by Roger Morlock and trainer Tye Loy, the Long Tom filly out of the RC Royalty mare Royal Bikini went off at 3-5 to pay $3.40 to win. Near You (Uncle Peter) was second and Hill Of A Diamond (What The Hill) was placed third after the third place finisher Hill Of Magic was found to have caused interference at the three-quarter pole.
TOES IN THE WATER REPLAY
The last division was won by Lucky Day Charms and Josh Sutton in 2:00.3. Trained by Debra Garland for owner/breeder Burlin Brower, the daughter of Dontyouforgetit – My Day To Play by Conway Hall paid $4.60 to win after going off at 6-5. Onetwoskipafew (Uncle Peter) finished second and Santa Monica AS (My MVP) was third.

Racing continues at Eldorado Scioto Downs on Wednesday at 6:15 p.m. On Thursday (July 22) there will be three divisions of the Buckeye Stallion Series for 3-year-old filly trotters. Then on July 23 3-year-old colt trotters will compete in two divisions of the Ohio Sires Stakes. The week’s action concludes on Saturday (July 24) with four divisions of the Ohio Sires Stakes for 2-year-old filly pacers and three divisions of 2-year-old colt pacers.
