The new fall season of one of harness racing’s most popular series has arrived, as “Britflix” yearling videos are now available for streaming on-demand at britfarms.com.
There one will find videos of Brittany Farms’ highly promising group of 19 yearlings that will be offered at the Lexington Selected Sale, Oct. 2-6 at the Fasig-Tipton Newtown Paddocks.
The yearling movies, filmed and produced by Larry Cohen, are hosted on the farm’s special video-only platform. Live TrackIT pedigrees are also available for each horse.
Brittany’s downsizing efforts have produced a smaller but more select crop of yearlings which should pay off handsomely for yearling buyers.
Farm manager Art Zubrod said this year’s group is “the strongest the farm has ever offered. From a conformation standpoint they’re outstanding across the board, and the pedigrees speak for themselves.”
Not to be missed are a trio of yearlings by Walner from “live” pedigrees, including a three-quarter brother to Espresso 2,1:53.3 ($345,543) and half-sisters to stakes winners Novel and Yes Please.
As for pacers, the consignment features outstanding youngsters from the highly anticipated first crops of Tall Dark Stranger and Papi Rob Hanover and three fillies by red-hot Bettor’s Wish, sire of Better Is Nice p,2,1:50.4 ($218,600) and the filly Pulp Fiction p,2,1:52.2 ($150,000).
As always, potential buyers are invited to visit the farm in Versailles, Ky. for a pre-sale inspection. If planning to do so, appointments are appreciated and can be made by calling (859) 873-3878. The yearlings will be shown daily at the sale in Barn 10.
