Ginger Tree Skyr won the Winners Over/Select Trot on Tuesday night at Dover Downs.

Driver Corey Callahan and Ginger Tree Skyr waited for the early speed from Swansea to clear for the lead at the quarter. Callahan confidently retook the lead in front of the stands with Ginger Tree Skyr and controlled the race fractions.

Ginger Tree Skyr, the 9/5 betting favorite, set race fractions of :27.2, :56.3 (:29.1) and 1:24.4 (:28.1).

Steuben Hanover trotted willingly 1st over and challenged Ginger Tree Skyr at the three-quarter marker but failed in his bid to take over command.

Ginger Tree Skyr remained stubborn in the stretch and drew off to win by 3 ½ lengths in 1:54. He paid $5.60 for the win.

Ginger Tree Skyr (Explosive Matter) is owned by Nick Callahan, Yorwollahan Racing Team and G. Godbout all from Delaware and is trained by Nick Callahan, Corey’s dad.

Steuben Hanover was 2nd for trainer Dylan Davis. Arthur Stafford Jr drove. Spee Club was 3rd for trainer D. Erin Neilson. Montrell Teague drove.

GINGER TREE SKYR REPLAY
