Galactic Storm (American Ideal, Jimmy Whittemore) captured the $7,500 featured harness racing pace at Vernon Downs on Saturday (November 9).
Fess Up N (Leon Bailey) went to the front and led to the quarter in :27.0. He used a :29.4 second quarter to be first to the half in :56.4. Rock Solid Express (John MacDonald) came first-up from fifth and challenged for the lead going around the final turn. Fess Up N led to three-quarters in 1:24.4. As they made the turn for home second place finisher Fess Up N maintained the lead. Galactic Storm ($16.60) popped the pocket and motored right on by to win in 1:52.4. PL Octavius (Truman Gale) finished third.

Galactic Storm is a 5-year-old gelding. He is owned and trained by Whittemore. It was his fifth win this season. He now has 12 career wins.
Jimmy Whittemore, Leon Bailey, Ron Harp, and Steeven Genois all had driving doubles.
