WASHINGTON, PA, Dec. 15, 2021 — Jeffery P rolled to his fifth straight harness racing victory — and 16th this year — in Wednesday’s $17,600 Open Handicap Trot at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
Hammered down to 1-9, Jeffery P was unthreatened through a comfortable 57.2 half; when three of his would-be challenger’s broke stride, the race for win was over.
The 6-year-old Full Count-Betty Jean gelding scored for Dave Palone in 1:53.4, 1-3/4 lengths better than Just Like Magic. Keystone Chaos completed the ticket.
Ron Burke trains Jeffery P, who lifted his lifetime bankroll to $371,561, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and Phillip Collura. It was one of three wins for Palone on the 12-race card.
