WASHINGTON, PA, Feb. 10, 2022 — Lady’s Dude easily overcame post 8 and powered to his fourth straight harness racing victory in Thursday’s $17,600 Open Handicap Trot at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows.
Lady’s Dude needed 27.3 to reach the point, but when Dave Palone gave him a 30 second-quarter breather, the 11-year-old Victory Sam-Lady’s Star gelding rolled home in 1:54.3 without an anxious moment.
The pocket-sitting Mission Voyage was second, 2-1/4 lengths back, with Stickler Hanover a ground-saving third.
Ron Burke trains Lady’s Dude ($4.20), who soared over $900,000 in career earnings, for Burke Racing Stable, Weaver Bruscemi LLC and Johnny Yoder. It was one of four wins for Palone on the 11-race card.
