Grove City, OH – Harness racing driver Chris Lems had a big night in the second leg of the Buckeye Stallion Series for 2-year-old colt trotters at MGM Northfield Park Monday night, winning three of the five divisions.
Muscle Count made it two in a row in the Buckeye Stallion Series as Lems took the son of Long Tom to the front and never looked back, winning in 1:59 for trainer Miles Wollam. Muscle Count is now two for two in his young career.
MUSCLE COUNT REPLAY
Lems picked up his second BSS win of the night in the second division as he guided Arabella’s Glide to the winner’s circle for Andy Miller in 2:00. The win was the first for the What The Hill gelding in two starts this year.
ARABELLA’S GLIDE REPLAY
In the third division, Shamrock (Uncle Peter) covered the mile in 1:59 for Ryan Stahl and trainer Ryan Miller. Shamrock has a win and two second place finishes in three starts this year.
SHAMROCK REPLAY
Hit Em Up Dude came home a winner for the first time in the fourth division for Ronnie Wrenn Jr. and Chris Beaver. The Credit Fashion gelding was a winner in 2:00.
HIT EM UP DUDE REPLAY
Lems picked up this third BSS win of the night in the final division as he guided Outreach (Uncle Peter) to the win for Scott Cox in 2:00.1. It was Outreach’s first win in three starts.
OUTREACH REPLAY
Buckeye Stallion Series action continues Tuesday night with the second leg for 2-year-old filly trotters at Eldorado Scioto Downs.
