Let It Ride N (Rock N Roll Heaven) made it two straight wins in the top harness racing class at Miami Valley Raceway Sunday (March 19) and he did it the hard way, coming first-over before the half mile.
The 12th race $30,000 Open Handicap Pace started off with Rollinlikethunder (Trace Tetrick) rolling to the early lead at the first quarter in :27 with Robert Again (Josh Sutton) getting the two-hole trip.
Heading into the second turn, race favorite Let It Ride N and driver Dan Noble moved first-over from fourth place and started working their way towards the leaders with Caviart Eden (Sam Widger) second-over as they went by the half mile in :55.2.
Down the backstretch, Let It Ride N kept gaining ground on race leader Rollinlikethunder and was only a half a length off the pacesetter at the three quarters in 1:22.3.
Starting down the stretch, both horses were neck and neck apart and then Let It Ride N muscled his way past Rollinlikethunder to win by one and one-quarter lengths in 1:50.1. Sectionline Bigry (Brett Miller) closed well to be third.
LET IT RIDE N REPLAY
It was the fourth win of the season for Let It Ride N. The ten-year-old gelding is trained by Michael Hitchcock for owners William Hartt and the Enzed Racing Stable, Inc. He paid $3.20 to win.
