WASHINGTON, PA, Nov. 26, 2021 — Millionaire Filibuster Hanover poured through the Lightning Lane to capture only his second harness racing win this year in Friday’s feature at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows, a $12,100 Conditioned Pace.
Although Filibuster Hanover won the 2017 Little Brown Jug and has banked more than $1.87 million, he was making only his sixth start of the year and first since June 26.
When Ronnie Wrenn, Jr. pointed him to the Lightning Lane, the 7-year-old Somebeachsomewhere-Fashion Ecstasy gelding looked plenty sharp, blowing by Carolina Beach to triumph in 1:52.2. The winner’s stablemate, Windsong Leo, rallied for second, giving trainer Ron Burke an exacta sweep, while Carolina Beach saved show.
