Frondeur (Rocknroll Dance, Ridge Warren) and Boston Rocks (Boston Red Rocks, Tyler Miller) captured the opening day features at Tioga Downs on Saturday (May 4).
Frodeur ($5.10) won the $10,000 fillies & mares pace.
No Cigar Tony (Mike Merton) put up all the early fractions :27.2, :57.3, 1:25.1.
As they made the turn for home Frondeur flew right on by to win in 1:54.4. No Cigar Tony had to settle for second money. Prairie Magical (Jim Taggert Jr.) finished third.
FRONDEUR REPLAY
Frondeur is a 4-year-old mare. She is owned by Shim Racing LLC and trained by Erv Miller. It was her first win this season. She now has five career victories.
Boston Rocks ($2.20) cruised to an easy win in the $10,000 featured pace.
Twin B Kingston (Barton Dalious) led to the quarter in :27.3. Allbetsonfritz (Ridge Warren) took over with a lap to go and was first to the half in :58.0. Boston Rocks (Tyler Miller) blasted on by and led to three-quarters in 1:25.0.
As they reached the stretch it became a battle for second as Boston Rocks won in a lifetime best of 1;53.4. P L Quesadilla (Tom Merton) was the runner-up. Twin B Kingston finished third.

Boston Rocks is a 3-year-old colt . He is trained by Mike Deters for owners Rick Berks and Peter Blood. Boston Rocks is one for one in 2024. It was his fifth career victory.
Tyler Miller drove four winners on the card. He combined with trainer Mike Deters two more times as he got wins with James Hanover and The Stunning Nun N. His other win came with Arnieās Angel.
