With the first of three deadlines having passed for nominations, both the 2-year-old colt pace and 2-year-old filly trot Next Generation harness racing events have filled, with the colt pace being oversubscribed. A lottery drawing will be held during Eldorado Scioto Downsā opening week, on Saturday, May 11 to see who will secure each of the nine available spots for the colt pace.
Nominations are still open for the 2-year-old filly pace and 2-year-old colt trot, with three (3) and two (2) spots open, respectively. Those interested in securing a spot in either of those two divisions can make a $10,000 nomination by May 15.Ā Nominators that made the April 15 deadline are guaranteed a spot in the 2-year-old filly pace and 2-year-old colt trot divisions.Ā Each division is limited to nine (9) entrants with (8) spots needing purchased in order for the event to fill.
All Next Generation events, for Ohio-sired 2-year-olds, will be held on Saturday, July 6. The evening card will also play host to the Moni Maker and Nadia Lobell, open events for 3-year-old filly trotters and pacers.

The 90-day 2024 Eldorado Scioto Downs race meet will open on Thursday, May 9 and conclude on Saturday, September 14. Races will be held Tuesday-Saturday with special holiday cards on Memorial Day and Labor Day taking place instead of the Tuesday card that week.
First post is at 5:45 p.m. each day except for Thursday, July 4th with a post of 3:15 p.m. and Friday, September 13 which will have a 6:15 p.m. post to help accommodate horsemen attending the Ohio Selected Yearling Sale. More information about racing at Scioto can be found here.
