HARRINGTON, DE – Stephen Messick’s Misty Coast (Powerful Mist) and driver Art Stafford Jr. was the fastest of three $20,000 Delaware Standardbred Breeders Fund (DSBF) splits for 2-year-old harness racing pacing fillies Tuesday (Sept. 27) at Harrington Raceway with a 1:55.4 triumph.
The heavy race favorite at 1/9, Misty Coast was a comfortable one length winner over Direct Mist and Beingbadsomewhere for her 3rd win of the year for trainer Les Givens. She paid just $2.10 to win.
MISTY COAST REPLAY
Paul Davis Jr, Lorie Davis and David Hanauer’s Spoiled Rotn Girl (Roddy’s Bags Again) and driver Allan Davis was a 1:59.4 winner in the second split over Chatty Kathleen and Ren Marvalous. It was the 4th career start and first lifetime win for the filly, who is trained by co-owner Paul Davis Jr. She paid $5.40 to win.
SPOILED ROTN GIRL REPLAY
In the final DSBF division, Ezy Ranch Inc’s Ezycure (Barber Pole) and driver Montrell Teague prevailed over Hold My Wine and Del Lyon in 1:58.3. The filly made a quarter pole move to the front and never relented in her 2nd straight win for trainer Cory Mumford. She paid $3.80 to win.

Art Stafford Jr., Teague and Allan Davis each had 3 wins on the card. Teague is closing in on 2,000 career wins and is two wins away from the milestone.Ā Victor Kirby andĀ Mike Cole each had driving doubles.
Four DSBF 2-year-old divisions for trotters will headline the Wednesday program.
