HARRINGTON, DE – Eugene Landy’s Sassa’s Sister, at odds of 45-1 (Trae Porter), was a 1:53.1 upset harness racing winner in the $17,000 Mares Jr. Open Pace Tuesday at Harrington Raceway.
Edge of Eternity (9/2) set fractions of 27, 55.2 and 1:23.4 while Precious Alexis applied pressure and held a slim advantage at the top of the stretch before Sassa’s Sister fanned wide and was moving fastest of all to sweep by for a one length win.
Precious Alexis held second while Western Secret A finished third. Sassa’s Sister paid $92.40 to win.
Trained by Jim Porter, it was the 5th win of the year for the 6-year-old Rock N Roll Heaven. It was her 2nd upset win of the meet, as she was victorious on April 13 at 22-to-1.
