YONKERS, N.Y.— Yogi Sheridan swooped to the lead and rolled while Robert Krivelin annihilated his harness racing competition to win their respective $14,100 divisions of the North American Amateur Drivers Association (NAADA) Trot at Yonkers Raceway on Thursday night (April 3).

Sheridan delivered 6-5 favorite Fanatic (Cantab Hall) in the first division with a 1:59.2 win. While All Rise (driven by Tony Beltrami) recovered from a break at the start to battle Big Limo (Peter Kleinhans) for the lead, Sheridan sat fourth with Fanatic through a :28.2 first quarter and waited for the battle to cool. All Rise strode to a :58.2 half, at which point Sheridan sent his charge off the pegs and pushed forward to snag the lead moving for three-quarters in 1:29. Fanatic maintained his speed through the remainder and coasted over the line a 3-1/4-length winner with Lionhead (John Calabrese) tracking his cover to finish second. Swiss House Onfire (Robert Krivelin) rallied for third and Big Limo settled for fourth.
FANATIC REPLAY

Krivelin took the lead with Velociraptor in the second division and never looked back to post a 1:59.3 romp in the second NAADA division. Leaving from the pylon post, Krivelin fired forward to seat Peter’s Royalty (Peter Kleinhans) and kept plugging. Through a clip of :29.1, :59.3 and 1:29.1, Velociraptor opened his lead and stayed strong to the line, finishing 7-1/4 lengths better than Hobbs (Victoria Stratton) grabbing second from Peter’s Royalty. Zlatan (Joe Faraldo) finished fourth.
Cote Keim trains Velociraptor, a 5-year-old gelding by Father Patrick, and co-owns with Hero Stables. He paid $3.30 to win.
