Eldorado Scioto Downs held co-feature harness racing trots each with a purse of $15,000 Tuesday (Aug. 29).
The fastest of the two divisions was the 10th race for the horses where Team Bravo (Uncle Peter) and trainer-driver Matthew Brown left from post five and never looked back in scoring a one and three-quarter length triumph in 1:56.
First-over challenger Send Rip (Hugh Beatty) held game for second place with the race favorite Great Career (Brett Miller) third.
It was a lifetime mark and the second straight win, fourth of the season for the three-year-old gelding who is owned and bred by Hall of Fame Communicator Carol Cramer of Columbus, OH. He paid $11.20 to win.
TEAM BRAVO REPLAY
The 5th race co-feature trot was for fillies and mares and saw Rose Run Yancee (Sam Widger) out leave everyone from post seven to take early command in the race with Najah (Josh Sutton) getting the two-hole trip to the quarter mile in :28.1 and the half mile in :58.4.
Brushing first-over before the half mile was the race favorite B Flohill (High Beatty), who was able to drop into second place behind Rose Run Yancee at the three-quarters in 1:27.3.
Then at the top of the stretch, pacesetter Rose Run Yancee went off-stride and that cleared the way for Gabbys Teddy Bear (Triumphant Caviar) and driver Trevor Smith to kick into gear from third place and come on to beat B Flohill by a quarter of a length in 1:57.3. Twish (Kurt Sugg) was third.
GABBYS TEDDY BEAR REPLAY
It was the second straight win and fourth victory of the season for Gabbys Teddy Bear. The three-year-old filly is trained by Chris Beaver, who co-owns with Johanna Beaver, Charles Beaver and Steven Zeehandelar. She was bred by Johanna Beaver and paid $6.60 to win.
