Last week, Walden Woods (Betting Line) finished second in the $12,000 Open I pace at Rosecroft Raceway, losing a late lead literally in the final strides.
This week, the six-year-old rolled to the top in the first turn and never looked back for harness racing Roger Plante securing his second win in six starts with a head triumph in 1:53.3 and has been on the board in all six this year. Samuel Young owns and trains the 19-time winner who pushed lifetime earnings over $162,000. Sea Of Life chased valiantly for second while Shim was third.
WALDEN WOODS REPLAY
In the $10,000 Open II category, Mach Le More A (Mach Three) edged past the leader Marco Beach, in the stretch to win for Johnathan Ahle by one length in 1:52.3. Tyler Long owns the winner trained by Clifford Scofield.
MACH LE MORE A REPLAY
Jonathan Roberts secured three wins on the card as did Ahle and Trea Porter. Porter won with Sweetheart Deal in a new lifetime mark of 151.3 for Owner Gary Crescenze and 21-year-old Trainer Amanda Blackford who trains for Crescenze and wife Tammy’s Northern Creek Farms. It was her fifth win already here in 2024 as young horsemen continue to impact the Rosecroft meet. William Carter, Frank Milby Eric Davis and Kubi Erzene also drover winners on the card.
