This week’s USTA Fines and Suspensions list features a Conduct Detrimental To The Best Interest of Horse Racing that is not seen much in the harness racing industry.
Erin Spychala in Michigan has been suspended for one year and ruled off all grounds live and/or simulcasting areas. Spychala has not conducted herself in a manner befitting the best interest of horse racing and in a manner that undermines public confidence. Spychala represented herself as a graduate from a Michigan State University veterinarian school. Multiple persons understood her to be a veterinarian and Spychala treated at least one horse with an injection.
