Hightstown, NJ — Stakes winners Atlanta, Greenshoe, and Lather Up are the big movers in this week’s Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll.
Atlanta, the 2018 Trotter of the Year, won the second harness racing leg of the Graduate Series for 4-year-old trotters at Woodbine Mohawk Park and moves from fifth to second in this week’s rankings.
Greenshoe captured the New Jersey Sire Stakes final for 3-year-old male trotters with a season’s best 1:50.2 mile at the Meadowlands and jumps from ninth to fifth in the poll.
Lather Up won the second leg of the Graduate Series for 4-year-old pacers at Mohawk and goes from unranked to No. 8.
Shartin N, who was idle last week, remains No. 1.
Done Well, who finished fourth in the Camluck Classic, slips from eighth to just outside the Top 10.
The Hambletonian Society/Breeders Crown poll, which runs weekly through November, does not determine Horse of the Year. The members of the U.S. Harness Writers Association vote on all Dan Patch Award division winners plus Trotter of the Year, Pacer of the Year and Horse of the Year.
