Yonkers Sunday post time and free programs

YONKERS, NY, Tuesday, June 26, 2018-Yonkers Raceway's Sunday matinee this weekend (July 1st) shall offer a first post of 12:40 PM.

Races 1 through 4 (post time 2:10 PM) go as those added-field, added-distance trots, with the finale listed at 4:04 PM, 4:24 PM or 4:44 PM, depending upon number (10, 11 or 12) of races when the card is drawn later this afternoon.

Sunday's 'New York, New York Double' consists of the third race from Belmont (post time 2:37 PM) and the seventh from Yonkers (post time 3:04 PM). Program pages for this wager ($1 minimum, 18½ percent takeout) to be sent when available.

After this weekend, the next Sunday matinee is July 15th (post time TBA).

Yonkers Raceway shall now offer free, downloadable programs for its Sunday matinee and Monday evening cards from July through September.

There are nine 'French' summer Sundays, beginning this weekend (July 1st). This Sunday goes at 12:40 PM, with the remaining ones TBA. Mondays, of course, are constant (all evening first posts at 6:50 PM), save for a dark Labor Day (Sept. 3rd).

Just visit www.empirecitycasino.com, find the racing section (under 'Entries and Results') and get an early handicapping start. This Sunday's program should be finalized by midday Thursday (June 28th), with subsequent Sundays done by midday the previous Wednesday.

Monday programs are usually available no later than mid-afternoon the previous Friday.
