On a night where three of the North America’s top 40 dash winning drivers were on the card, all three of them, Corey Callahan, Russell Foster and Pat Berry showed their winning prowess winning featured events on the Sunday nightĀ Rosecroft RacewayĀ program.
Foster got it going in the lone non-wagering race with a win with Yall Beneath Me, making his 2021 season debut and the four-year-old stallion byĀ Googoo Gaagaa, held off a stubborn stablemate in Whoopdee Goo (Callahan) in 1:55.1 in the $13,000Ā Maryland Sires StakesĀ for Older Male trotters.
Richard Hans bred, owns, and trains both trotters. Yall Beneath Me is now 15 for 16 lifetime and has earnings of $169,325.
There were three other MDSS divisions for older horses, as Callahan won with Fantastic Voyage ($2.40) for Owner-Breeder Dawn Amiss and trainer Shaun Callahan in 1:51.2. Stablemate, Owzitgoin (Jason Thompson), and Nvrfearlloydishere (Eddie Davis Jr.) took the place and show spots in the $13,300 division for older male pacers.
FANTASTIC VOYAGE REPLAY
On the ladies side, Jared Moyer steered Pats A Keeper ($3.00) to her 12th career win, as the five-year-oldĀ LockkeeperĀ mare held off Winnie The Goo (Davis Jr.) and Going Gaa Gaa (Callahan) in the $13,200 trot for older mares. The winner is owned by Pamela Wagner and trained by John Wagner. She completed the mile is 1:57.3.
PATS A KEEPER REPLAY
After a chalky start, there was potential for an upset in the older pacing mares division as wide open field of six went to the gate. When the smoke cleared, 12-1 shot Alexis’ Fraternity ($27.20) took over with just over a 16th of a mile to go and scored the biggest victory of her career in 1:55.2. Driver Timmy Offut trains and co-owns the five year old mare by The Fraternity Pan with Gerald and Tammy Lafferty. Both her sire and mother, Boca Hanover had extensive racing histories at Rosecroft.
ALEXIS’ FRATERNITY REPLAY
Berry completed a hat trick on the night, winning the $10,500 Open Handicap with Carlisimo in 1:51.2 for owner Eric Good and trainer Josh Green. Berry also won with Transparency, and Foiledbythebeach. Callahan won a second time with Dancing On A Star and Foster wrapped up the night with a win aboard Rose Run Ranger.
