Cheverie started the night giving top honours to Caliban Hanover for owner Wendell MacDonald, Cornwall in the open trot and then came back with JK Blaze to claim the Maritime Breeders elimination for trainer Joe Smallwood. Ramblinglily and Likely To Win closed out the grand-slam.
Clic K put in an impressive performance taking the Red Shores feature in 1:54.2. Ron Matheson put the PLO owned pacer on the point and cruised through fractions of 27.2, 56.2 and 1:25.4. It was Matheson's fastest victory in the bike. Jackie Matheson trains Clic K who notched his 43rd lifetime win with the score. Forever Paradise (Marc Campbell) and Oh To Be Me (Gary Chappell) completed the triactor.
Jason Hughes recorded a driving triple to stay in second place in the top driver standings with 83. Marc Campbell leads with 89.
