The 7.4/1 odds Next Direction (8g Orlando Vici-Be My Luxx-SJs Photo) was second for Iikka Nurmonen and 5.6/1 Vernissage Grif (7m Varenne) was third for trainer/driver Alessandro Gocciadoro. Milliondollarrhyme finished fourth.
Gocciadoro also won with Aston Bar (5m Ready Cash-Marasque-Daguet Rapide) on the same card with a 1.14.1kr victory. Aston Bar is undefeated in 2020-2021 with 11 straight wins and he is 16 for 21 in his career.

Yesterday at Napoli (ITY), Gocciadoro won the GP Freccia d’Europe (purse 154,000€, 1600 meters autostart) with the 1.10.4kr timed Alrajah One (5m Maharajah-Marfiu’-Varenne). The victory increased his career earnings to over 721,000€. Antony Leone (5m Libessio Grif) was second ahead of Zefiro d’Ete (6m Mago d’Amore).
Italy’s three year olds battled today at Bologna in separate male and female division of the GP Italia. In the male group Carlomagno d’Esi (3m Love You-Primula d’Esi) scored in 1.14.1kr for Andrea Farolfi. The purse was 40,040€ and the race distance was 2,060 meters autostart. The females raced for the same purse and over the same distance with Farolfi again the winning reinsman. This time the 1.15.3kr timed winner was Cher Ek (3f Nad A; Sheba-Freedom Ek-Bon Vivant).
