Braxton Boyd steers five winners home

Talk Show Chica (Corey Braden) took the featured $10,000 Fillies and Mares Open Pace at Tioga Downs on Saturday (June 5) as harness racing driver Braxton Boyd drives five winners on the card.

Talk Show Chica ($26.80) led to the first quarter in :26.3. As they headed for the stands for the first time Landry Seelster (Wally Hennesey) took over the lead. She led to the half in :56.2, still controlling the pace, and hit three-quarters in 1:24.2.

Talk Show Chica sat patiently in the pocket as they made the turn for home.

She came flying from the two-hole and motored down the stretch and went right on by to win in 1:52.3.

Shecouldbegood N (Mike Merton) came up to be second with Persistent Bettor (Jody Jamieson) finishing third.

Talk Show Chica is a 4-year-old mare by Heston Blue Chip. She is trained by Stacey McLenaghan and owned by Braden.

It was her third win this season. She now has nine career victories. Boyd got his wins with No Where To Hide ($14.80), Roll To The Beach ($3.00), Weekend Atnannies ($7.40), Kazans Power ($13.40), And Ey Cowboy ($6.20).
