NZ Harness Million double

Champion sire Love You led in the winners of both $75,000 finals for the NZB Standardbred Harness Million for two and three-year-olds at Addington Raceway, Christchurch.

Highgrove, a two-year-old gelding, and Outamyway, a three-year-old colt, both led from virtually the outset to win their respective Listed classics.

Highgrove, who has won five of his seven starts, has now earned $73,936 and is the leading stake winning two-year-old trotter, while Outmyway, the winner of $117,440, is second in the three-year-old list.

Love You also sired a winning double at Alexandra Park, Auckland on the same night as Outamyway won. His winners were the three-year-old Chicago H and the four-year-old Liaison.

Love You is the leading sire of two-year-old trotters in New Zealand, and is ranked second and third on the three-year-old and All Aged tables respectively.

Orlando Vici, the nine-time Group winner, continues to add to his amazing siring score.

Orlando Jolt, a five-year-old gelding and one of his first NZ crop, won twice off handicap marks at Albion Park, Orlando Storm notched her eighth success at Cranbourne and the three-year-old Visionary broke novice class at Cranbourne.

From 19 foals three-year-old or older, Orlando Vici boasts the exceptional record of 15 starters for 13 winners and a placegetter.

Love You and Orlando Vici are both members of the starstudded Haras Des Trotteurs’ frozen semen roster.
