Neither St Lads Beat It nor reinsman Anthony Haughan were breaking a sweat as they jogged to victory in the Clinton Raceway opening day Preferred 3 Pace, the trackās first feature since September 2020.
Haughan sent St Lads Beat It forward with an aggressive push from post seven, and they acquired the lead after advancing on the outside through the first turn. St Lads Beat It then set easy fractions of :30.1, 1:00.4, and 1:30.3 and jogged to the finish with no action needed from Haughan in a 1:59 romp.
Life Is Better (Natasha Day) took place from Streakazana (J. Bradly Harris), who finished third, in the final stages. The win price was $4.40.
