CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Dreamfair Zenfire took a perfect two-hole ride right to the winner’s circle in the Thursday evening harness racing feature at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park.

Overwhelming favorite Woodmere Skyroller (driven by Gilles Barrieau) set the tempo in the $2,950 Fillies and Mares preferred pace with Dreamfair Zenfire and trainer-driver Marc Campbell sitting on her back.

Owned by Ryan and Everett MacLeod of Souris, Dreamfair Zenfire reached up in the stretch drive to win by a half length in 1:55.4 over Woodmere Skyroller with third going to Filly Forty Seven (Jason Hughes). Dreamfair Zenfire paid $9.30 to win.

Barrieau continued his solid grip on the Red Shores Charlottetown driving race with four winners on the night. The New Brunswick native won with Wannashakeyourtree (1:56.1) and JJ Gracie (1:57.1) from his own barn, Lean On Who (1:56.4) for trainer Ron Matheson and Bet The Tide (1:57) from the Kevin Maclean stable.

Hughes had a driving triple on the evening winning with Daisy River (1:57.3) in the $2,700 Open Trot for trainer William Lanigan, Incredible Two (2:02.4) from the Kenny Arsenault stable and his own trainee Warrawee Ulla (1:56.2).
Santa Monica won the first dash of the evening in 1:59.2 for the opening half of a Lanigan training double.
