HARRINGTON, Del. – Down-under born Shes Pukka N ($3, Tony Morgan) and Shoobee Doo A ($4.60, Corey Callahan) won their respective co-featured harness racing contests Monday at Harrington Raceway.
In the $20,000 Mares Open, Peter Paul Venturini’s She’s Pukka notched a front end win over Feeling Sweet and Scuola Hanover in 1:54 for trainer Brian Malone. The 6-year-old Betterthancheddar mare notched her sixth win of the year. The same trainer/driver combo teamed up for a win one race earlier with Examiner Hanover ($2.60).

Meanwhile, Mike Casalino and Dylan Davis’ Shoobee Doo A scored a 1:52.4 win in the co-featured $20,000 Open. Trained by co-owner Davis, the 6-year-old Shoobee’s Place gelding made a bold three-wide move near the three-quarters and cleared pacesetter Power of Tell and pulled away from the field for a three length win. Power of Tell held second at 61-to-1, while Goldberg finished third.

Shes Pukka N was foaled in New Zealand but has raced every start in the United States. Shoobee Doo A was purchased by his current ownership from Australia in March.
Montrell Teague had 4 wins on the card. Allan Davis had 3 wins. Victor Kirby, Morgan and Art Stafford Jr. all had driving doubles.
