Grove City, OH – The Buckeye Stallion Series returns to MGM Northfield Park tonight for the first harness racing leg of the 2-year-old filly trotters. Five divisions will be contests, each with a purse of $17,500.
The entry box saw thirty-eight fillies entered to race, splitting into two seven horse fields and three eight horses filed.
Trainers Chris Beaver and Jason McGinnis lead the way with four entries each, while Wes Hershberger and Anette Lorentzon will send two postward. A total of 29 trainers have entered fillies.
Sixteen Ohio stallions will be represented with nine sired by What The Hill, five each from Long Tom and Uncle Peter, with Creatine and Triumphant Caviar each siring three.
First race Post Time for the 15-race program is set for 6pm at MGM Northfield Park with series events scheduled in races 1, 2, 3, 6 and 8.
