Two $50,000 harness racing divisions of Ohio Sires Stakes for 3-year-old pacing fillies were featured at Scioto Downs on a humid Friday night, July 16.
Dragons Lucky Lady proved that she was just that as she cruised to a 1:52.2 clocking in the first split for driver Tyler Smith and trainer Eddie Foulk. The daughter of Dragon Again notched her seasonal fourth victory from nine starts, upping her 2021 earnings to $58,335 for owners L&L Stables of Springfield, Ohio and William A Hartt, of Carmel, Maine.
Leaving the gate as the 4-5 favorite, Dragons Lucky Lady prevailed easily over 7-1 Babs Jansen (Kayne Kauffman), with 9-2 She Knows It All (Ronnie Wrenn, Jr.) garnering third-place honors.
Bred by Vernon J. Mast of Ohio, Dragons Lucky Lady is the first foal out of the Million Dollar Cam mare Precious Cammill p,5,1:51.4s ($247,471) and now has $78,272 in career earnings from 12 wins, six seconds and two wins in 21 career starts.

Summer Touch, the 1-2 favorite, notched her third straight Ohio Sires Stakes triumph this season with a 1:51.2 score in the second OSS division. Chris Page was at the lines for trainer Ron Burke behind the Well Said lass, who is owned by Burke Racing Stable, Knox Services, Slaughter Racing, and Weaver Bruscemi.
With a career bankroll of $385,660 and seasonal earnings of $100,110, this standout filly has ten lifetime wins and two seconds from 14 starts.
Leave Her Wild, a 14-1 longshot, was second for Mike Wilder, with 34-1 longshot Wall Said (Cameron McCown) third. Summer Touch, a homebred, is the fourth and most prolific foal out of the Real Desire mare Real Touch p, 3, 1:51.1 ($150,251); and is a half-sister to: Tru Lou (by Sweet Lou) p, 3, 1:49.1f ($158,261); Real Fine (by Bettor’s Delight) p, 3, 1:52.1f ($145,118); Touch Of The West (by Western Ideal) p, 4, 1:52.1f ($86,482); and to the 2-year-old colt Seaside Way (by Downbytheseaside) p, 2, Q1:57.4f.
