Down Under winners with Carter Dalgety

Down Under Pacers dominate Yonkers Raceway harness racing meeting. 

Monday night at Yonkers was a complete down under domination with six down under pacers winning races.

First up came the 9yo Walkinshaw N, the winner of over $330,000 won his $20,000 Pace in 1:53.2.

Soho Leviathan A backed straight up when winning in 1:52.3 for $34,000. This was the son of Rock N Roll Heaven’s second win of the season and made his 2021 stake earnings over $55,000. 

Quality pacer On The Cards N extended his good record and got his third win of his North American harness racing career. Of his 8 starts in the states he has won three and placed in three meaning he has won over $44,000 in his first few months for trainer Ron Burke.

Shineonucrazydiamond A also finished at the right end in a $30,000 Pace. This son of Somebeachsomewhere has done a brilliant job racing in North America. He won in 1:53.1 and is closing in on $500,000 in career stake earnings. We will be keeping an eye out for this milestone. 

Down Under driver Todd McCarthy then steered Keep On Rocking A to victory in 1:52.4, winning $25,000. A tough Rocknroll Hanover 9yo has been consistent at the top level and holds a lifetime mark of 1:48.4. 

Lastly came the great achiever of San Domino A who raced in the $36,000 Preferred Pace and stopped the clock in a very sharp 1:51.0 around the half mile Yonkers track. This Somebeachsomewhere gelding is now trained by Andrew Harris and has yet again had a great season of racing to date. Winning five races and placing 3 times, putting over $87,000 in the bank over the months in 2021.
