Purse increase at Monticello Raceway

Monticello Raceway Race Secretary Eric Warner announced today that effective Monday, August 2, harness racing purses will be increased 15% across the board at Monticello Raceway.

According to Warner, “With the new purse increase, the Open Trot, Open Pace and Fillies and Mares Open will race for $7,700. We are hopeful that with the increase, we will be able to attract more outside horses and it also helps our faithful horseman who are stabled on the grounds.”
