Little Manny broke a six-race losing streak on Friday at Exhibition Park in a dominant effort over Winners Over harness racing opponents.
Instant Shadow (Kyle Mason) and Little Manny (Stephen Trites) cut through the fog and threw down through the first quarter mile, which was timed in :29.3. Instant Shadow gave way to the persistent Little Manny on the backstretch, and new leader cruised to victory from there.
Little Manny, a son of Articulator, carved out a lead of three lengths and middle splits of :59.2 and 1:28.3, and he paced away from his five opponents in the final panel to score a 1:57.4 victory by six and a quarter lengths. Emperor (Jeff Lewis) grinded out a first-over bid to claim the place cheque. Instant Shadow finished third.
