Monticello, N.Y. – Monticello Raceway is set to host its final leg of the New York Sire Stakes program on Wednesday, August 11, with three-year-old harness racing rotting colts highlighting the card.

On tap is one Sire Stakes, two divisions of Excelsior A and one Excelsior B. One of the Excelsior A races will be carded as a non-wagering event before Race 1.

Ahundreddollarbill (Chapter Seven) will look to add to his bank account, vying for a purse of $112,000 in the eighth race. He has already amassed more than $300,000 in seasonal earnings. In each of his three Sire Stakes wins, Ahundreddollarbill has set a new track record in each start. In his wake this season, he scored in 1:54 at Saratoga and a 1:54 mile at Yonkers. At Vernon Downs, he scored a lifetime best of 1:52.2.

The Monticello Raceway track record for three-year-old geldings is 1:55.2 and is held by Gural Hanover.

To his credit, Ahundreddollarbill is the leading point earner in his division by virtue of his three NYSS wins. The son of Chapter Seven won an elimination of the Yonkers Trot and finished fourth in the final. He was also a winner of the $205,500 Empire Breeders Classic. Ahundreddollarbill is trained by Tony Alagna for owners Crawford Farms and James Crawford. Andrew McCarthy will drive.

The second choice in the field is Dewey Arnold, scoring from post position 2. Jason Bartlett will handle the driving chores for the David Dewhurst trainee.

His impressive resume includes a pair of second place finishes in the class, and an Excelsior A win. The son of Dewycheatumnhowe already has 15 starts this season and was an early season winner of the elimination and final of the John Mongeon Trot. He has amassed nearly $130,000 thus far this year.
