Cheyenne Ryan Lee returned to the throne of the Open Pace harness racing class at Monticello Raceway on Tuesday and broke the $100,000 earnings mark.

The Roll With Joe gelding started third for Luke Hanners and remained in line through the :28.3 first quarter mile. Hanners motioned the horse off the pylons near the halfway point, which leader Epaulette A (Bruce Aldrich Jr.) hit in :58.
Cheyenne Ryan Lee made inroads as they traveled through the third panel and continued gaining after a brief response from the leader at three-quarters in 1:26.2. Cheyenne Ryan Lee maintained his pace around the far turn and swept by Epaulette A to score in 1:54.4.
Epaulette A took place by a narrow margin over Camwood (Cory Stratton), who finished third.

Cheyenne Ryan Lee surpassed $100,000 in earnings with the victory, his 12th lifetime in 78 starts. Alexandra Goldin trains the five-year-old for Antoinette Bencivenne of Ivyland. The gelding shipped to Monticello from Ocean Downs on Jul. 13 and won the Open on that day. He then lost on Jul. 20 and Aug. 3 before winning on Tuesday.
The New York Sire Stakes visits Monticello Raceway for the track’s next card on Wednesday, Aug. 11. The program features a $112,000 division for three-year-old trotting colts and geldings, an Excelsior A division, and an Excelsior B division.
