Siring feat by Follow The Stars

Follow The Stars, the leading WA stallion juvenile sire for the past two years, and who is now standing at Medowie Lodge, Newcastle, provided the quinella pair in the three-year-old fillies’ race at Gloucester Park last Friday (August 13).

Our Star Billing, who led from the outset and zipped home in 55.8 seconds, defeated Star For Me with another Follow The Stars filly, Yellowroseoftexas a creditable fourth. In fact, Follow The Stars sired five of the eight-horse field – rather a notable siring feat.

Follow The Stars also sired winning doubles at Bunbury and Central Wheatbelt recently.

The three-year-old filly Silver Star Lombo (1:59.5) and Beejays Star (1:59.7) scored at Bunbury, while Cullen Star and Regimental Star quinellaed the two-year-old race at Central Wheatbelt. Royal Order, a four-year-old by Follow The Stars, won on the same card.

Follow The Stars is again among the top bracket on both the national two and three-year-old sire premierships this season. He has produced eight two-year-old and 16 three-year-old winners to date.
