CHARLOTTETOWN, PE – Corey MacPherson put the pedal to the metal as he guided Therealprincess to Atlantic Sires Stakes glory Thursday evening at Red Shores Racetrack and Casino at the Charlottetown Driving Park as part of Gold Cup Week harness racing.
The daughter of Source Of Pride dominated in her $15,520 Atlantic Sires Stakes A-division for two-year-old pacing fillies as she came from off-the-pace to win in 1:57 by 12 open lengths.
Eddy Doucette co-owns and trains the winner for partners Blaine Thibeau, Gordon MacLeod and Grant Mann. Rhojo Moe (Driven by Marc Campbell) was second with Tobins Diva (Ken Murphy) third.

Tobago Cays filly JJ Scarlett won the other A-split for driver Danny Gillis, trainer Walter Walker and ownership group Wwggmacinnismackinnon stable of Inverness, N.S.

She stopped the clock in 1:57.1 over Boo Yaya (Marc Campbell) and Woodmere Jazz (Gilles Barrieau).
The three $3,000 B-divisions for two-year-old pacing fillies were won by Ultimate Long Shot (David Dowling) in 1:58.4, Candy Apple Red (MacPherson) in 1:59.3 for a Doucette training double and Tobins Chocolate (Dowling) in 2:01.4.
