Fastest trot mile of the season at Aces

Columbus, MN – Bringoverthemoney, a six year old Minnesota-sired gelded son of Money Talks stole the harness racing show at Running Aces on Sunday night (August 29) with an eye-opening five length victory in 1:54.1, for the track’s fastest trotting mile of the season so far.

The impressive effort came in a $7,800 conditioned event, with Bringoverthemoney starting from post five in a nine horse contest.

Driver Jacob Cutting guided him away in third position and sat in for the opening stages, while SD Eliminator (Brian Detgen) posted a :56.4 half mile. Cutting activated Bringoverthemoney and he quickly drew alongside the leader down the backstretch and got the upper hand as the field rounded the far turn.

Hearduwhispermynam (Luke Plano) and Bringthegold (Nick Roland) both advanced from the back of the pack but Bringoverthemoney ($10.20) was long gone, he had opened up daylight on the field and continued to trot strong in the lane, checking in five lengths ahead of Hearduwhispermynam who was well clear of Bringthegold in third.

The winner is no stranger to success, as he was a state divisional champion as a sophomore in 2018 and he also won the aged male trot championship last season. He is owned by Joshua Horvat and is trained by Katie Horvat.
The $13,800 Open Handicap trot went to All American N (Luke Plano, $4.40) for his eighth win of the year.

BRINGOVERTHEMONEY REPLAY

Assigned the outside eight post in the feature race field, All American N (Muscle Hill) was fastest off the car and made the front, while Mind Yown Business (Dean Magee) got away near the front and then set sail on the outside to challenge for the lead.

The top two battled for the final half mile and All American was able to hold on by a nose at the wire in a thrilling stretch duel timed in 1:56 with longshot Mandeville (James Jungquist) picking up third.

The winner is owned by Jose Cervantes, and trained by Edward Hernandez.

ALL AMERICAN N REPLAY

Coatofmanycolors (Brian Detgen, $15.40) also picked up her eighth win of the year with a one length score over Rush To The Bank (Nick Roland) and SB Sampson’s Ridge (Rick Magee) in the $17,250 Minnesota-sired ‘A’ sophomore trot in 1:59.1 for owner/trainer Jenni King.

Ice Titan (Nick Roland, $7.40) was a gate-to-wire winner in the ‘B’ division, holding on to win by a neck over Bowl Of Ice (Dean Magee) in a career best 2:01.2 mile with Oh Danny Boy checking in third.

It was the third career win for Ice Titan, owned by Chris Frenzel and trained by Amy Wetzel. The top two finishers are by Ice Machine.

Driver Jacob Cutting led the program with three driving wins for a Hat-Trick.
