Yonkers Raceway canceled its Thursday harness racing card due to road closures in the surrounding area causing difficulties in accessing the track.
The Standardbred Owners Association of New York announced on Twitter that the day’s card was scrapped.
YR Race Office: Due to many road closures in the Metropolitan area transportation to Yonkers Raceway will be difficult. With that in mind racing for Thurs 9/2/2021 is canceled. Please stay safe.

The road closures were caused by effects of Hurricane Ida, such as flooding in certain areas of New York City and surrounding areas.
The track ended its Wednesday card after three races due to heavy rain.
Yonkers Raceway is scheduled for a return to action on Friday, Sep. 3.
