Harness racing is set to return to British Columbia with the fall meet at Fraser Downs kicking off on Wednesday, Sep. 22.
The meet includes 29 race days through December 30. Live harness racing will be held on Wednesdays for the first two weeks, with Thursdays added in October for the balance of the year.
Post time is scheduled for 7 p.m. for all race days, with the exception of the annual B.C. Breeders Stakes Day program on Thursday, Nov. 11 and a special Boxing Day card on Sunday, Dec. 26, which will both start at 1 p.m.
The 2021 Fall stakes calendar includes all stakes that have been typically raced during the September to December period in previous years, with the addition of the Sales Stake #22 scheduled to go behind the gate on November 24 & 25. The highlight of the upcoming meet will once again be the B.C. Breeders Stakes finals for two and three-year-olds on November 11. The finals of the Lady Elements and Jim Vinnell for aged horses of both sexes are also scheduled for November 11.
