Trotting stallion Dreamcatcher sired his first winner with Eds Dream who has now won two races.

Eds Dream, a two-year-old colt by Haras Des Trotteurs’ stallion Dreamcatcher, and one of the first small crop of the Swedish-born son of Love You, posted his second success at Ballarat recently.

Coming off a 10 metre handicap, the colt worked to the front in the first lap, dropped anchor midrace and then zipped home in 58.7 seconds to stave off all his challengers.

Love You himself sired three three-year-old winners in the space of six days including Queen Elida, a New Zealand-bred and owned filly who downed a strong field at the Geelong metropolitan meeting, clocking 57.3 for her final half.

Lovelorn, a three-year-old gelding, won twice from a 20 metre handicap at Globe Derby Park recently and is undefeated in three starts this season, while Robbinmemates won brilliantly on debut at Cranbourne.

Promising three-year-old filly Fancy continued the devastating run being enjoyed by her sire Quaker Jet over the last month when she emerged successful in a career-best 1:58.1 at Menangle.

Meanwhile, Abitofadreamer, a son of Haras Des Trotteurs’ resident stallion, the French-bred Used To Me, led his rivals a merry dance as he notched his second success at the Melton midweek fixture.

Used To Me has sired 11 winners from 17 starters at an average of $22,700 per starter.
