Down Under Winners in North America and Canada with Carter Dalgety

Down Under harness racing mare getting close to her top gear.

Exciting down under mare Watch Me Now N was back to her true self on Saturday night at the Meadowlands for her down under trainer Kelvin Harrison. The He’s Watching daughter blistered out of starting gate seven for driver Jim Marohn Jr to lead the field early. They reached the half in a nice 55.3 before hitting top gear at the quarter and sped away from the field to pace home easily in 26.2 and stopped the clock at 1:49.4 in cruise mode.

This mare has a major down under connection, being trained by down under trainer Kelvin Harrison and owned by down under’s Curtin ANZ Stables. The recent export into the United States will have an exciting calendar upcoming as she looks to compete with the best pacing mares of the Northern Hemisphere.

While racing in New Zealand the now 5yo mare won over $120,000 from just 17 starts, 7 of those being wins. Placing at Group Level on 3 occasions. Her most notable win was in the Group 1 New Zealand Breeders Stakes when pacing a New Zealand Record for Mares over 2600m of 3.07.2 for trainer Kirsten Barclay and Tank Ellis.
