Four Finger Floyd crushed his harness racing opponents by double digit lengths on Thursday at Rideau Carleton Raceway to increase his win streak to four.
Guy Gagnon sent the Sportswriter gelding front-stepping from the start and guided him to the top. Wisk Key K (Pascal Berube) drove on from a parked out position past the quarter mile pole in :28 and took the lead, but Four Finger Floyd was out and moving before the new leader settled.
Four Finger Floyd regained command passing the half in :56.2 and streaked away from his rivals in the third quarter. He opened up by nine lengths going to three-quarters in 1:24.2 and widened the gap to 12 and three quarter lengths as he jogged past the finish in 1:53.
Wisk Key K was second best, beating third-place finisher American Way (Marie Claude Auger) by a length.
