Top trotting action today at Paris-Vincennes saw two Groupe I events on stage.
The first was the Prix de Normandie (monte, Gr. I, purse 200,000€, 3000 meters for five year olds) with victory to 1.5/1 odds Gladys des Plaines (5f Opus Viervil-Thetis de Vanjours) clocked in 1.12.3kr. Mathieu Mottier was in the irons for trainer Gilles Curens and owner Augustin Radu as the winner recorded her 10th career win now for 602,220€ earned.
The 2.5/1 Granvillaise Bleue (5f Jag de Bellouet-Lady de Breval) was second handled by Camille Levesque for legendary trainer Pierre Levesque and breeder/owner Michel Gallier. Third was 4.2/1 Gangster du Wallon (5m Lets Go Along) with Benjamin Rochard aboard for owner/trainer Damien Lecroq.
In the Prix de L’Etoile (Gr. I, purse 200,000€, 2150 meters distance handicap based on age for 3-5 year olds) the 3/1 odds and 50 meter handicapped Ganay de Banville (5m Jasmin de Flore-Anais de Banville) scored in 1.09.8kr for owner/trainer/driver Jean Michel Bazire. He recorded his 14th career victory now for 451,040€ earned as he surged three wide in front of the paddock and was never headed.
The 7/10 favorite Italiano Vero (3m Ready Cash-Baraka d’Henlou) was second for David Thomain at the controls for owner/trainer Philippe Allaire. Ideal Ligneries (3m Repeat Love-Ouragame) at 26/1 was third for Franck Nivard, Ecurie de Tremont and trainer Fabrice Souloy. I Love Me (3f Love You) and Inferno Piper (3m Coup de Poker) completed the top five.
